Rosamund Pike (42) is a very versatile actress. She Began her acting career as a stage actress. She debuted on TV in the film ‘A Rather English Marriage’ (1998). She was Miranda Frost, a Bond Girl, in Die Another Day (2002) and portrayed Jane Bennett in ‘Pride and Prejudice’ (2005). She appeared in a sci-fi film, crime-mystery thriller film, a drama film, coming-of-age drama and sci-fi comedy, action comedy and epic action-adventure fantasy ‘Wrath of the Titans (2012)
In 2014 Pike gained worldwide acclaim, winning the Saturn Award for Best Actress and an Oscar nomination for Best Actress for her role in the psychological thriller ‘Gone Girl’. This year Pike was nominated for the third time for the Golden Globe Award the role as Marla Grayson in I Care a Lot.
London born Pike is the only child of Caroline Friend, an opera singer, and Julian Pike. Pike attended the National Youth Theater, that gives young people the opportunity to learn as much about themselves and how to relate to others, as they do about acting and technical theatre. Pike was turned down by every stage school, she applied. Instead, she read English literature at Wadham College, Oxford. After graduating, she was offered a role as a Bond girl.

The Dark comedy ‘I Care a Lot’ thriller had its premier at the Toronto International Film Festival on 12 September 2020 and was from 19 February 2021 released via Netflix and Prime Video streaming. Pike is nominated for her role as the con Marla Grayson for a Golden Globe Award.
Marla Grayson persuades a judge to appoint her guardianship over elderly people living on their own. The elderly people are placed in a home and their homes and assets are sold for the benefit of Marla. There are many diamonds in Jennifer’s safety deposit box.
Marla gets help from crooked Dr Karen Amos who tells a judge that a wealthy elderly woman, Jennifer Peterson, cannot care for herself and Marla becomes the guardian. Marla does not know that the son of Jennifer is former Russian mobster. Marla gets an offer from the Russian’s lawyer, to release his mother from guardianship. Marla does not accept the offer. Marla is taken to court but the judge favours Marla. Jennifer tells Marla that she is in grave danger. Marla sees on TV that Dr Amos is dead. As revenge Marla commits Jennifer to a psychiatric ward.
Marla is kidnapped and Jennifer’s son demand’s his mother released from the guardianship and he wants his diamonds back. Marla demands $10 million.
