It has been a year since the Gaslit series (picked up by Starz) was announced and it has already been through so many changes. Joel and Nash Edgerton have been lost from the series. The same story with Armie Hammer with continued allegations of sexual abuse. Julia Roberts and Sean Penn remain attached to the series, which examines untold characters and stories from the Watergate scandal.
The series expands on the characters who assisted Nixon as well as those assisting the whistleblowers who would ultimately bring down the house of cards.
Roberts plays Martha Mitchell who was in the first whistleblower role, married to Nixon’s Attorney General John Mitchell.
The name changes keep coming. Matt Ross is taking over the Director role, replacing Nash Edgerton.
