“Even now my ears are itchy cause somebody is hating right now on Twitter or anywhere, but we have our fans and they purple us. With that we can get anything over.” -Kim Namjoon BTSxARMY We’ve got each other and will always be by your side @BTS_twt pic.twitter.com/71oidQZGpM

The incident comes amid an increase in anti-Asian sentiment and racist attacks since the pandemic began. Radio host, Matthias Matuschik spoke hate and racism towards BTS, the popular South Korean K-Pop band. Matuschik played BTS recent cover of Coldplay’s “Fix You” and was saying that the group’s version of the song is “blasphemy”. He said that BTS were “some crappy virus that hopefully there will be a vaccine for soon as well”.
Trendin Music and many famous musicians spoke of their disgust since racism and prejudice do not belong in the music industry. Spread love……. not hate through music!
only 2 days after release, now BTS Fix You cover is the most popular video on MTV UK channel with 12M views. pic.twitter.com/ZtRdpMXg95
