Justice, the new album from Justin Bieber will be released on March 19th.
Key songs from 2020 include Lonely, Anyone and Holy. Bieber bases the name on this broken planet which requires healing and justice for humanity.
Lonely is another production with producer Benny Blanco. The words are a reflection of feelings in his own life and at times in the recording studio he could be seen crying. It shows everyone can be vulnerable which gives the song its power. He felt very exposed producing this song and he debated whether or not to release it.
“Anyone” is referred to as a hopeful, special and anthemic song. It sets the scene for a brighter new year which is very meaningful given the pandemic. In the music video Bieber plays a boxer from the 1960s who has a great love in his life which helps him overcome a potential knockout on his way to becoming a champion.
“Holy” reflects the love for both his wife and of God. The video has Bieber as an unemployed oil worker who meets a helpful soldier. It has been interpreted as linked to the Just Transition movement of the Trade Unions. This has as its target a climate resilient and low carbon economy.
