The Eurovision Song Contest is an international song competition organized annually by the European Broadcasting Union and featuring participants representing primarily European countries. Due to the Corona pandemic, it was cancelled last year.

Eurovision Organizers in The Netherlands (18 – 22 May) are hopeful of a successful event with special hygienic precautions.

We're determined to "unite Europe on one stage" in Rotterdam.

That means the health and safety of everyone involved in this year's show is our top priority.

The organizers of the Eurovision Song Contest in Rotterdam Ahoy, The Netherlands announced that contestants, entourage and journalists should be thoroughly tested in their own countries and quarantaine themselves for 5 days prior going to The Netherlands.

There will be extensive testing, wearing of masks, hygiene measurements, good ventilation and everyone keeping 1.50 meter distance.

Mouth masks have to be worn at all times except when performing.

If artists are tested positive or feeling unwell, videos of their performance recorded in their own country will be shown.

It is not yet known if an audience will be allowed.
