SoundCloud have become the first in the music-streaming industry to introduce fan-powered royalties which have an artist’s fan base directly driving the revenue to the artist.
The subscription or advertising revenue of each listener goes to the artists they actually listen to. With the current industry model used by Spotify and other streaming platforms listener revenue also gets spread around artists that they do not listen to. Artists can now better grow their career by connecting more deeply with their fans and the fans can affect the pay of the artists they like the most.

Started in 2007 SoundCloud is one of the largest streaming service with 175 million monthly users with paid or free membership for desktop and mobile devices.
