Alan Sugar has confirmed that pre-production has started for reality game show The Apprentice.

The Apprentice’s Baron Alan Sugar (73) confirms that pre-production on the new series of The Apprentice has started and that the producers will do anything in their power to get the show aired on TV despite the Corona pandemic.

Last year the show was cancelled by the BBC due to the difficulties of social distancing and filming abroad.  BBC has broadcast The Apprentice since 16 February 2005.

Filming will be tricky due to Covid regulations and obviously have to be done in a safe way.

“The return of the programme will show the world that ‘Britain is back on track and open for business once again,” Lord Sugar said.

Candidates can apply to the show which will be aired in October. Open auditions and interviews are across the country and the second round will normally be in London.  We are not sure how the auditions will be held due to the covid rules.  20 to 30 applicants are chosen and given an assessment by a psychologist, receiving further checks by the production team and providing them with references, before the final line-up, which consists of 1/2 men and 1/2 women, is selected from this group and filming can begin.

Last year Lord Sugar wanted to relocate The Apprentice to Australia because life was almost normal over there. Instead, he was filming a Celebrity Apprentice.

Applications will be closing soon for this year’s #TheApprentice. If you have a great business plan and reckon you can handle the heat in The Boardroom, apply here ➡️https://t.co/WCB32Tr2qf https://t.co/N79MD64mTr
