The actors Ice Cube (51), Cuba Gooding Jr., Morris Chestnut, Laurence Fishburne, Nia Long and Angela Bassett are celebrating this year the 30th anniversary of the 1991 Boyz N The Hood film.

The film produced by Steve Nicolaides and was written and directed by the late John Singleton.
John Singleton was a native of South Los Angeles and many of his films like Poetic Justice, Higher Learning and Baby Boy relate to the urban population.
Singleton was nominated for Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Direction for a Limited Series, Movie or Dramatic Special for the “Race Card”
