After cancellation in 2020 due to the pandemic, Eurovision is going ahead 22nd May 2021 in Rotterdam.
The 3 show hosts announced last year will remain this year, they are Jan Smit, Chantal Janzen and Edsilia Rombley.
The early betting has Switzerland as favourites, followed by Bulgaria, Iceland, France and Italy.
To build in a response to the pandemic, there are four scenarios planned:
- Business as usual with a full stadium audience
- Socially distanced in the stadium
- Some remote performances
- Full remote performances
All countries have been asked a performance in a live format. 40 countries will take part, of which 38 performers have been selected to date and 33 of the songs have already been released.
The Switzerland entry is from Gjon’s Tears and is titled “Tout l’Univers”. The singer is actually Gjon Muharremaj a Swiss-Albanian singer and songwriter. He is 22, and at the age of 12 came third in “Albanians Got Talent”.
