Finally some music festivals are being announced somewhere in the world!! Given their fast rate of Covid vaccinations the UK has confirmed the Reading and Leeds Music Festivals will go ahead 27-29 August 2021. With some good names announced as well including Stormzy, Catfish and the Bottlemen, Post Malone, Disclosure, Liam Gallagher, Queens of The Stone Age, Lewis Capaldi, Two Door Cinema Club, AJ Tracey and Doja Cat. 

Detail is still to be announced, for example, any social distancing rules but at least this means there are people in the crowd!!! Glastonbury, unfortunately, has already been cancelled for another year.

Obviously there is always some element of uncertainty given the pandemic but the organisers are saying they are ‘very confident’ the events will go ahead given the Government announcement of plans to ease the lockdown. The Government plans to ease the limits on social contact by 21st June.
