In Europe and Canada, the new Spongebob live-action/computer animated adventure comedy film ‘On the Run’ was released in 2020. In the States, it will be released on 4th March.
A whole range of great names is joining SpongeBob in his adventures trying to find his friend, Gary the snail. Keanu Reeves, Snoop Dogg, Tiffany Haddish and Awkwafina pleasured us with their appearances and voices.
The film is dedicated to its creator, marine biologist turned animator Stephen Hillenburg, who died of ALS on 26th November 2018.

SpongeBob’s pet snail Gary has been snail-napped by King Poseidon for the use of his silky soft skin, since he used up all the slime of his sea snails (snail slime rejuvenates).
Great emergency for SpongeBob trying to find beloved pet Gary. During SpongBob’s journey he meets great celebs like the actor Keanu Reeves as the tumbleweed Sage and the rapper and actor Snoop Dog as The Gambler.

Plankton still wants to steal the Krabby Patty formula and Karen tells him that SpongeBob is his enemy and not Mr. Krabs.
SpongeBob and his best friend Patrick the sea star are trying to rescue Gary the snail from the Lost City of Atlantic City. Gary is snail-napped by King Poseidon. Plankton offers Otto, a robot, to take them to the city. Without SpongeBob cooking Krabby Patties, the Krusty Krab’s angry customers destroy the restaurant. Otto drives SpongeBob and Patrick to an old Western town where they meet a tumbleweed spirit called Sage (Keanu Reeves) and a bandit outlaw called El Diablo, the Wicked (Danny Trejo) in a dusty Western Town with zombie cowboy pirates. SpongeBob accidentally kills El Diablo and frees the zombie souls.
At Atlantic City, SpongeBob and Patrick try to take Gary away, but both get arrested. At home Plankton get the secret formula from the depressed Mr. Krabs. When they find out that SpongeBob and Patrick are going to be executed, Mr. Krabs, Squidward, Sandy and Plankton go to Atlantic City to save them.
